How to mine with a nVidia GPU. Mine x11 (such as darkcoin) and autoconvert to dat sweet sweet doge.

Have you heard of tsu.co? It allows writers like me and readers like you to connect on a social network that doesn't censor our views. Hey they will also share their revenue with you for content on their site, why not give it a shot?
Hey. So, you've probably heard that mining scrypt coins doge and litecoin is super hard now due to ASICs, and isn't worthwhile on a GPU anymore. Well, here's how to mine other coins that use an algorithm called x11 (as opposed to scrypt) and have them autoconverted and paid to you in doge. (will also autoconvert to another coin, if for some crazy reason you don't want doge).
  1. Have an nVidia GPU, preferably 600 series or later, and 50 or higher, such as 650, 750, etc.. These will be best for mining, but I'm not gonna guarantee profitability over electricity costs, that will depend on your set up and hardware and cost of electricity. nVidia cards are way better for mining x11 than AMD cards right now, for some reason the development of the mining software has really been rapid for nVidia, not so much for AMD, sorry AMD people you'll have to look elsewhere for how to mine.
  2. Determine your compute capability of your card. http://adf.ly/1LAuD9 (will be something like 3.5, or 5.0 etc..) Remember this number.
  3. Download and install the latest graphics card drivers from nVidia if you aren't up to date already www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
  4. (not necessary for gtx970 and 980) Download and install the CUDA software from nVidia http://adf.ly/1LAuOj
  5. Restart your computer.
  6. Download and extract the latest version (1.5.1 as of now) of ccminer from herehttps://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases. Here's the announcement thread for that software to stay up to datehttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770064.0 and learn more. If your GPU has a compute capability less than 3.0 (from step 2.) then you are using a card with an older architecture, and it is not supported in the latest version. You will need to download an older version of ccminer, one that has a ccminer.exe file in the zip that ends with the two digits of your card's compute capability (e.g. ccminer21.exe if compute capability is 2.1).
  7. In the extracted folder (the one where the ccminer-30-35-50-52.exe is) create a .txt file. Inside that file copy paste this code (4 lines):
    @ECHO off
    setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
    ccminer-30-35-50-52.exe --algo=x11 -o stratum+tcp://ca.simplemulti.com:3453 -u YOURWALLETADDRESSTOMINETOHERE.worker1 -p x
    PAUSE

  8. Save that file as wowsuchdig.txt. Now right click on it in the folder and change the extension to wowsuchdig.bat.
  9. Double click wowsuchdig.bat
  10. Profit! You are now profit switching mining x11 coins on an awesome pool called http://simplemulti.com/. This pool converts those coins to doge for you, and then sends the value in doge. You can go there for statistics on your account (your address is your username, there is no sign up). Also check out their getting started guide. You may also want to change your port (in the .bat file) from stratum+tcp://ca.simplemulti.com:3453 to stratum+tcp://ca.simplemulti.com:3454 if you have a very good card.
Now you're set up. There's more stuff, like overclocking, but I won't get into that here. Congratz :)

Current price: 60/59 satoshi /$.000168 USD/ .0001043 CNY/ 24 hr volume: $337,235 USD/ 2,090,290 CNY / 24hr transactions: 20,611 which is a total of $18,733,356 USD
Satoshi price is steady, USD price down slightly and trading volume $60,000 less than yesterday. Our transaction volume is up by about $5 million!
The lowest price point that Dogecoin has ever hit was around .000110 USD on 08/19/14 of last year. This came during a market crash and was around the time when it was questionable how we would secure our hashing power.
We had two peak price points of .00180 USD on 01/24/14 and 02/12/14. Since then we have more coins in circulation to account for the lower prices. The entire crypto markets are in a sluggish bear trend, we just happen to be a wave in a bigger pool.
Our prices are actually quite stable at the moment, which may be the result of low trading/ high transaction volume. Our markets are working better as a currency rather than a speculative commodity. I wouldn't be surprised to see our prices rally when trading volume picks up.
Also the reason why Bitcoin and Litecoin has really high trading volume is because of leverage. Their traders can usually borrow up to 20x their principal amount, which adds more liquidity. The Chinese exchanges also have a zero fee platform which can lead to volume manipulation through wash trading (buying and selling your own orders).
Margin trading would attract more serious traders into the Dogecoin space and add volume but it also comes with a cost. It's a high risk trading strategy because you can lose all your coins on a margin call (when the price moves against you to the point where the losses eat away at your principal amount). The benefit is that it would easily quadruple our volume and provide less risk adverse Shibes to lend out Dogecoin and gain interest. It's a double edged sword but when Dogecoin grows, it will be inevitable.

DogeCoin is a cryptocurrency that people who love doge started to embrace and help grow. I have even fallen prey to this amazing altcoin. I've heard about altcoins for along time but I refused to buy into it back when bitcoins first showed up on the internet. Shows how smart I am, I could've been riding that easy train. But enough with could of beens and woulda beens, I am now the proud owner of some Dogecoins. I have joined their community over on reddit and asked a few questions that I feel everyone will be interested in. I personally found Dogecoins from looking into crypto cash online and noticed this coin with doge on it. I always thought it was a joke but the more I looked into it the more I saw that people actually sell things for doge. I decided to dig and lurk and found that the community is full of kind and helpful people, I made my claim by going to a faucet and getting my first free 12 dogecoins. I was hooked and now this hobby has become something that I really enjoy and can't get enough of. I say hobby because I know I wont make millions of dogecoin but I still get enjoyment collecting them.

Reddit Users Unite!

I asked Reddit users over at /r/dogecoin these five questions.
Q: How did you find Doge out of all the cryptocurrency?
Q: What made you decide to stick with Dogecoin?
Q: How did you gain/earn your coin? Was it hard?
Q: If you could change one thing about cryptocurrency in general what would it be?
Q: Is Doge a hobby or a way of life?

The users who replied all had one thing in common the love for Doge! They came from all different walks of life and got involved in this currency in all different ways. Most of them find it as I do just a hobby, but I'm sure somewhere out there on the moon there is a rich shibe who finds it "wow very srs" "so real" and so on. But these folks below all told me their story and I was going to add it into my article but I feel if I do it will lose something along the way so I'll just post their answers directly! Enjoy and much love to my shibes around the world!
[–]ljiljan02I find DogeCoin before few days on one site (stuffpoint=> fanaru, dogecoin have fan club with more than 350 member, dogecoin fan club is on 3th place on this site)
It is interesting, easy and maybe we can earn something
I don't know mining so I earn DC on some fauced, and I get some DC on reddit from others shibes (and yes, earn some coin on fauced is not too easy)
I would like that we have some 99% secured places for trading, and also that online wallet is safe
Now is hobby, but few nights since when I start colect DC I see in my dream this dog and how I collest DC on faucets :) and this is not joke, I am serious (do you think is this some pcsiho problem??)
My eng is not perfect but I think you can understand (and correct what you need :D )

  1. I would like to make it more useable
  1. A hobby, I like doing it but I can probably live without it, or not...
I hope that I've given you enough info :D
[–]Literatewolfvape shibe 1 point  How did you find Doge out of all the cryptocurrency?
I clicked the random link at the top of reddit.
What made you decide to stick with Dogecoin?
Free doge, community, and the goofiness.
How did you gain/earn your coin? Was it hard?
I posted on this subreddit and received free doge from tips. Easy money.
If you could change one thing about cryptocurrency in general what would it be?
I would like to see the snobby attitude weaken so everyone can jump in with ease.
Is Doge a hobby or a way of life?
Once you do doge, you don't go back.

I learned about Dogecoin from researching about Doge; an article popped up about Dogecoin and I just decided to look into it.
The main reason is because I love Doge. My secondary reason is how fun and easy it seems for someone new to join in.
I earned most of my Dogecoin from faucets, as I couldn't figure out how to mine at that time. Other people on reddit also gave me Doge.
I want news about cryptocurrency to spread, and for more shop-owners to start accepting Dogecoin as well as Bitcoin.
Dogecoin is a hobby to me because it feels quite fun to do, but it feels pointless otherwise.
